Who needs vibration measurement?
Developers and contractors working with heavy machinery near existing buildings: pile drilling, sheet pile installation, soil compaction, demolition, excavation. Especially next to old or listed buildings.
What does your accreditation cover?
Certificate No. GAC-TL-0375, issued by The Unified National Body of Accreditation - Accreditation Center (GAC), Georgia, covers instrumental measurement of vibration on two objects - buildings and ground - by the method of DIN 4150-3:2016-12. We do not present work outside this scope as accredited, and we say so up front.
Who asks for a test report?
Test reports are often requested by clients, investors or supervising authorities - especially after neighbour complaints. We measure to DIN 4150-3:2016-12 and will clarify the requirements for your site during the consultation.
How long does a measurement take?
It depends on the works. A one-off measurement is taken during a specific activity; monitoring runs for the whole stage (the SV 803 battery lasts up to 6 months). We'll give you an exact timeline after the site visit.
Will measuring interfere with the works?
No. We measure under normal operation, while works are under way - that's how real vibration shows up. There's no need to stop work.
What does the test report include?
A description of the site and the measurement points, the date and conditions of measurement, peak particle velocity (PPV) on three axes, the dominant frequency, charts and a comparison with the DIN 4150-3:2016-12 guideline values. The engineer’s opinion is a separate document, prepared on the basis of that report.
How much does it cost?
It depends on the site: the format, duration and number of measurement points. Call us - the consultation is free, and we'll quote a price once we know the site.
Where do you work?
In Tbilisi and the surrounding area.
